- Felix invited his four friends to his new beach house. They really didn't like him very much and just accepted the invitation in hope of receiving money in his will.
- Felix and Alfredo enjoyed a soda on the patio. When Alfredo went to the restroom, Felix was left alone.
- Hmm...my soda tastes funny.
- Alfredo returned at 3:00 to find Felix dead on the floor! He noticed that the soda cans and drinking cups were still outside on the patio and he screamed for help.
- I only went for a short walk. How could this have happened?
- I'm Kendra. I was taking a shower around 2:30. I thought I heard a girl talking then Alfredo called out at 3:00.
- I was only in the shower a few minutes. What has happened????
- It is very odd that there are no external injuries and no blood on his body.
- Alright, everyone is a suspect. Let's get their stories and examine the crime scene.
- Oh, that powder on my shoes is just baby powder from my shower.
- I wish the policeman would hurry back. I want to go change shoes since these got powder on them. It's not like I have a lot to tell him. I went for a walk at 2:00 and ran back when Alfredo called out at 3:00.
- Finally Gene told the policeman he had taken a walk with his dog at 12:00 and fell asleep. He only came back when he heard Alfredo's voice at 3:00.
- Alright, everyone is a suspect. Let's get there stories and examine the crime scene.
- Okay let's see what evidence we have to go on.
- This blood is weird. It's hard and puffed up.

- Based on our tests of the evidence I think we can make a case that Kendra poisoned Felix with poisoned ice cubes. She also made the fake blood at the crime scene with cornstarch like what we found on her shoes.
- Cornstarch was found on Vera and Kendra's shoes. Iodine was used to see what kind of powder it was. It turned black so they knew it was used to make fake blood.
- The investigators used powder to uncover a secret message. It's signed by Vera but in Kendra's handwriting.
- The drinks found on the patio were tested with a pH test. Felix's was different that Alfredo's. It was not as much acid. Fingerprints on Alfredo's cup were his and Vera's. Fingerprints on Felix's cup were Felix's, Vera's, and Kendra's.
- DNA testing was done on hair found in a comb. It was Felix's hair.
- The ice cubes showed tap water had a neutral pH# and ice water had a base pH#
- She was able to poison his drink while Alfredo was in the restroom. She also tried to frame Vera by writing a note about Felix being dead and signing it Love Vera. I think she did it to get money since he named her in his will.
