Storyboard Szöveg

  • Book 1
  • Your father is not dead. You must find him and get rid of your mother's suitors!
  • Book 2
  • Your mother tricked us and teased us! Evict her or make her marry one of us!
  • You pesky suitors have been here TOO LONG! I'm sick of it! Odysseus is still alive!
  • Book 3
  • I'm sorry, I haven't heard from him in many years. Go to Menelaus- he will be able to help you.
  • King Nestor, do you know where I can find Odysseus?
  • Athena, disguised as Mentes, travels to Ithaca and advises Telemachus to search for Odysseus. Athena also instructs Telemachus to call an assembly of Penelope's lusty suitors and demand they leave. Lastly, Athena tells him he must sail to Pylos and Sparta to find news of his father.
  • Book 4
  • Telemachus assembles the suitors, calls them out for their disgraceful behavior, and tries to shame them into leaving. One of the suitors, Antinous, claims it's Penelope's fault for tricking them into waiting so long. Telemachus tells them that if he finds out Odysseus is dead, his mother will remarry. Athena helps Telemachus obtain a ship and crew, and they take off that night.
  • Book 5
  • Zeus told me to come here to tell you to free Odysseus...
  • Telemachus and his crew arrive at Pylos, King Nestor's island, hoping to learn about Odysseus' whereabouts. However, Nestor has little information to offer them as the last time he had seen Odysseus was shortly after the victory at Troy. Nestor suggests they proceed to Sparta to visit Menelaus, who may know more about Odysseus.
  • Book 6
  • When they arrive at Sparta, Telemachus and his crew are warmly welcomed. Menelaus recalls the events of Troy and Odysseus' bravery, causing both him and Telemachus to be emotional. Menelaus tells him that Odysseus is alive and is being held captive by Calypso. Meanwhile in Ithaca, the suitors are enraged when they learn of Telemachus' journey to find Odysseus. Telemachus sets sail back to Ithaca.
  • No soldier went through so much as Odysseus. Do not be discouraged; he is still alive on Calypso's island.
  • Zeus agrees to send his son Hermes to Calypso's island to command her to free Odysseus, which she begrudgingly agrees to. Odysseus sets sail from her island with a raft. When Poseidon sees Odysseus at sea, he generates a huge storm. Odysseus washes up on the island of Scheria.
  • But I love him! Besides, I never understood why male gods can have mortal lovers while women can't. Ugh, fine! I'll let him go.
  • Odysseus meets the beautiful Phaeacian princess Nausicaa and her maids by a river. She takes him to town in her cart, but tells him to wait near the city walls so she can ask her mother to help him. If Nausicaa's mother likes him, Odysseus will be on his way home soon.
  • Do you know the way to town?
  • Yes. My father, the king, will help you.
