Storyboard Szöveg

  • Birth and childhood
  • Noo! Ill save you!I guess I have to go to war now.
  • Preparation
  • Quest #1
  • Odysseus did not want to go to war, because he married a beautiful woman named Penelope. His reason was he tried acting insane so he wouldn't have to go to war. They threw his child in front of a plow, so he had to save him and go to war.
  • Quest #2
  • The preparation for the Odyssey is the Trojan war. After the Greek soldiers invaded and destroyed Troy with a fake offering to Poseidon (wooden horse which was Odysseus's idea), they forgot to give a real offering and Poseidon became angry. He made sure to give the soldiers a very long journey.
  • Ultimate Battle
  • On the journey home, Odysseus and his men were becoming very hungry. They led the ship to an island where they stopped to hopefully find some food. Without knowing, they stopped at the island of the cyclops. Polyphemus, the biggest cyclops, knew they were coming for food and opened his door to his cave with 4 large goats roasting. The men went in and the cyclops trapped them and tried to eat them. Odysseus gave him wine to fall asleep and stabbed him in the eye with his sword. They escaped, but one man was eaten. Black symbolizes fear of the unknown and death.
  • Triumphant Return
  • As Odysseus and his men were running low on supplies, they had to go between a narrow straight to reach an island to resupply. On each island, there was a siren that pulls ships into death with their distracting voices. Odysseus told his crew to tie him up with the ship so he would not steer towards the sirens. The rest of the crew has ear protectors so they won't hear it. They sailed past the sirens and Odysseus came free from the ropes, but his crew came right away to stop and save him. they tied him up again and they got past the sirens. The setting archetype is a wasteland because it is dangerust extreme and there is hopelessness.
  • As Odysseus returned home, he noticed it wasn't the same. 100 suitors were in power of staying in the castle that was once Odysseus'. They were all staying there until his wife, penelope picked a man. He returned to his son and came up with a plan. He dressed as a beggar and his son took him to see penelope. Odysseus told her there shall be an archery contest, and whoever could bend the bow won Penelope. after everyone could not do it, Odysseus asked if he could. They let him, because they thought he was a weak beggar, but after he did it, revealed himself and shot it perfectly. All 100 suitors attacked him and he killed each one with the help of his son to return as Penelope's husband. Odysseus is an archetypal hero, because he returned from his quest and victory triumphed over evil as he took back his wife, Penelope.
  • Look, Odysseus is alive! Attack him!!!
  • I have returned to take back my wife!! fight or flee!
  • As Odysseus returned, he was forced to fight the 100 suitors to get his wife, Penelope back. After he fought them all off, he told his son that he would one day be able to shoot the bow like he did. This fits into the triumphant return section, because Odysseus came back to be the rightful owner of the castle and the people of Ithaca were very happy to see him, as they knew he would save the city.
  • Odysseus is alive! we shall praise him for saving us!
  • I have saved the city and I will return to the throne as the rightful owner of this castle!!
