- 6 girls are in the wood doing a ritual and this ritual helps them get what they desire and Abigail (the one with the chicken) ask Tituba something disturbing and Tituba said you can not say that so Abigail ruined the ritual and drank the chicken's blood and they were caught by one of the men in the village.
- It was Mr. Parris that caught the girls in the wood so he when to go tell Judge Danforth about the situation so they assumed they were doing witchcraft.
- They found out the girls who were in the woods doing "witchcraft" so they all went to the court to explain to the judge that the devil possessed them and that's why they were in the woods making up a huge lie and the court believes them so they got away with it and later in the story they started to lie about more things and it was getting out of control that innocent people were being accused wrongfully.
- John Proctor knew the innocent people that were getting accused wrongfully and when he found that Abigail was behind the whole thing he told her to meet her in the woods for they could talk and they did meet and John was telling her that she need to stop with the lies and leave the innocent people alone or someone is going to be hurt and she said that they brought his wife into it already so nothing can't be done and she might die because her spirit "attacked" her the night before and that she still loves him and he said he doesn't and to leave him and his wife alone
- Through out the whole situation Mr. Proctor was telling the court that Abigail and the other girls were lying about everything and Judge Danforth asked John how does he know Abigail and he told him the truth that he knows her and they asked if his wife knows about so they brought her in for questioning to see if she would lie for him and she ended up lying so they take her away and finally Mr. Proctor confessed to his sins and that the devil basically controlled him.
- The Judge wanted John to sign a paper for they could hang up to the church so people can basically know what he did so he refused it because he rather die not guilt so Danfourth told him he's going to be hung in front of everyone so they locked him up the next day comes and he's been hung and Abigail left the town and was never seen again. So all the girls in the beginning of the story they got away with the "witchcraft" in the forest.
