- when ismene and antigone lost their family kreon became the new ruler and he made it law to not bury polynices, so antigone and ismene are arguing about whether they should bury polynikes who is their brother ismene doesnt want to because they will be punished.

- The knight found antigone burying her brother (polynices) and now is talking with kreon what she did,.
- if you do not unbury antigone your son will die and your future will become dark.

- ismene and haemon (antigones fiance) are very heartbroken by the news of antigones passing.
- but then the teresias visit and tell kreon that he brought bad things to his future by burying antigone because haemon (kreons son) will die from his actions
- kreon and his guards rush to unbury antigone in hopes that she will still be alive but they are too late. then another comes to tell kreon of the news of what happened to his son, haemon had killed himself. eurydice (wife of kreon and mother of haemon) then kills herself due to the heartbreak of losing her son. kreon is heartbroken and left alone in pain and regret
