- You are the killer! You bring the pollution to this land!
- Oedipus travels and comes across a Sphinx. no one was ever able to solve the riddle of the sphinx, but Oedipus was and did.
- You want the throne that's why you conspired against me!
- I dont want your throne! or the power! i live like a king already! i dont need to responsibility!
- After Oedipus solve the riddle, the people and the widowed queen, think him worthy and as a hero. so has a gift the queen marries him and declares him king of Thebes.
- ive killed people there before.
- well i do remember him being killed where the three roads meet.
- Oedipus sends Creon to the oracle, Apollo, after becoming king and finding out about the disease. Creon comes back and tells Oedipus that they need to find the murderer of the old king. Oedipus asks the people but they have no answer so he calls Theirisus, a prophet, who tells him that he was the one who killed Lauis.
- Well if they say that there was only one person, then i am guilty.
- After what the prophet tells Oedipus, he grows angry and blames it on Creon and him. he believes that Creon and Theirius made a plot against him. Oedipus thinks that Creon wants his throne. Then Creon explains that he doesnt want it because of the responsibility.
- Jocasta ends up showing up when they are fighting. She tells them to calm down then starts speaking about how Lauis got a prophecy that his son would be the one to kill him. she then reveals that they had a son but they got rid of it so the prophecy doesnt come true.
- they all decide to call a servant who was there and saw the whole thing. Oedipus says that if that person says that he saw more than one person than it wasnt Oedipus but if they sa only one person then Oedupis will punish himself. he hopes that it wasnt him.
