- In this short story Kurt Vonnegut wrote, I believe he was showing how trying to be all equal and nobody is better than another can lead to rebellion and corruption and cause life to be boring. As seen in some of the scenes the government has made everyone equal and Harrison goes crazy and believes that everybody should be true to themselves and unique. Vonnegut also displays how trying to fit in can be crazy and wrong.
