  • A polar explorer, Walton, is astonished when he finds a man on the verge of death during his journey in the North Pole. Walton helps the man who's name he soon finds out is Victor. Walton asks Victor what in the world happened to him and so Victor explains...
  • Panel 5
  • Victor lives in Scotland in a prestigious family which includes his father, Alphonse, his mother, Caroline, his younger brother, William, and his adoptive sister, Elizabeth. Victor's love of his life was Elizabeth and it was planned in his family that he and her were to get married. Victor's best friend is named Henry, and Victor's maid is named Justine.

  • Victor studied at a great university in Ingolstadt, and he was always interested in life and death and the idea of renewing life. He wanted to see if he could bring someone back from the dead, so he collected body parts from graveyards and put them together for his experiment.

  • You must create a female for me with whom I can live int he interchange of those sympathies necessary for my being. This you alone can do, and I demand it of you as a right which you must not refuse to concede.
  • After two years his experiment was finished...The creature woke up in the lab with his dull yellow eyes. Victor freaked out and ran away, which would be a huge mistake. But when Victor came back to the lab, the creature was gone.
  • Panel 8
  • Some time passes while Victor deals with the shock of his creation. But there was no end to Victor's nightmare; he then finds out that his younger brother, William, had been strangled to death in Geneva, Switzerland. And that his maid, Justine, has been accused of his murder and is being sentenced to death since Williams pendant was found in her pocket.
  • As Victor was going back to Geneva , he encountered his creation. He then realizes that the creature killed William and framed Justine for it by putting the pendant in her pocket. Victor feels guilty for letting Justine die, but he stays silent.
  • Months later, Victor goes on a solitary hike in Chamonix to find peace. To his surprise, he stumbles across the monster yet again. The monster demands Victor make him a female mate just as ugly as he is so that the monster can have company. In return, the monster said he would no longer be compelled to kill, which is why Victor agreed.
  • Victor goes to the North Coast of Scotland to make the female monster. But as he was completing her he started to have his doubts. What if she turns out to be evil too? What if they procreate and make unnatural children that will ruin future generations? So Victor destroys the female monster.

  • When the creature finds this out he is furious at Victor for breaking his promise and he vows that he will visit Victor on his wedding night.

  • The town magistrate, Mr. Kirwin, tells Victor the details of a dead body found on the beach of Scotland by local fishermen. Victor is a suspect. When Victor sees the body, he realizes that it is his best friend's body, Henry. Victor is eventually found not guilty, but he feels extremely sad and just wants to die.

  • thank you for your sympathy, but it is useless; my fate is nearly fulfilled. I wait but for one event, and then I shall repose in peace.
  • After marrying the love of his life in Geneva, Victor starts to think about the monster's words and how he said that he would visit Victor on his wedding night. So at night, while Elizabeth is asleep, Victor searches the house for the monster. But then he hears the sound of his wife's scream. He then realizes that the monster never intended to take his life on his wedding night, but his wife.
  • Panel 15
  • Elizabeth was found dead on her bed, strangled by the monster. Victor tells his father the upsetting news and a few days later, his father dies as well.
  • Panel 16
  • Victor grows desperate and decides to tell Mr. Kirwin about the monster and how he needs his help to capture it. Mr Kirwin agrees to help but tells Victor that he should expect disappointment.
  • Victor decides to make it his life's mission to seek revenge on the monster which is when Walton finds him chasing the monster in the North Pole and helps Victor by bringing him on his ship.
  • The monster thinks to himself how unfair life is and how no one would ever understand his story and what he went through.
