- Wegener taught us a lesson that Scientific research is an extensive process of providing hard, and concrete evidence about a particular piece of information. Every idea, theory, and explanation to be presented, must always be backed up with credible and reliable evidence for it to be considered plausible. This reflects back to the lack of geologic mechanisms being the primary problem of Wegener’s theory. Also, the ideas and explanations being presented must also be realistic, especially with processes like the movement of continents or the formation of glaciers.
- ENOUGH! Let's all come down, all right? As far as I know, Continental drift has been proven by scientist already. There is no point in bickering when we don't have all the data or sources to back up our claims. The scientific process is all about facts as it is about civil discussion and debate. Lets just all go home, and worry instead about the quiz tomorrow, sounds good?
