Your teams will pick a battery to create from Salt, Earth, Vegetable or Fruit. You will hypothesize your success. At the end of the experiments, we will test our batteries with a lightbulb. First, we will draw numbers to choose battery types.
Vegetables? REALLY???
We need to start writing our hypothesis. Sarah, I will start with your comment on potassium & ion . "A battery made from a potato will power a light bulb because it has enough potassium & Ion to generate power,"
I can't believe we picked potato!!!
Potatoes conduct electricity 'cause of high potassium & ion content.
We'll need copper pennies, wire & galvanized nails to build this, oh, and potatoes!
As you can see, our potato-battery really lights up the bulb
GREAT JOB KIDS!!! I will gladly display this in our science display case along with your names, but not for too long, because of flies (lol) LET'S TAKE PICTURES!!
HAA HAAA,NAILED IT!!!
Our hypothesis was correct, a potato can power a light bulb because of the high potassium and Ion content.
