Storyboard Szöveg

  • In the late 1820s, gold is discovered on Cherokee land. During this time period, Jackson also realizes the value of growing cotton on such fertile land. He decides that removing the Cherokee from their land would be a prime financial opportunity.
  • This is my chance to move the Cherokee westward! I can acquire their land to grow cotton and claim the gold.
  • President Andrew Jackson
  • You do not have the authority to banish the Cherokee from their own land! Your idea is certainly not one that I support.
  • Judge John Marshall
  • You may enforce your own ideas and rules, but as President, I hold the power to impose the Indian Removal Act. Our government has the budget to pay for the relocation, and I am confident the operation will run smoothly. We will begin with the Choctaw Indians.
