- She has CORONAVIRUS. Coronavirus can affect the RESPIRATORY SYSTEM and the CIRCULATORY SYSTEM. Once inside, the coronavirus enlists the infected cell to produce the parts it needs: RNA and proteins. Next, it tells the cell’s machinery to start making tools that copy coronavirus RNA. Because of this, it can cause cough, difficulty breathing, and can cause damage to the circulatory system.
- The respiratory system is made up of cilia cells, goblet cells and basal cells, all being apart the nose, lungs, trachea, pharynx, larynx, and the bronchi + bronchioles.
- The circulatory system is made up of white blood cells, red blood cells, platelets and plasma. They are apart of the heart, veins, arteries and capillaries.
- The systems work together by passing back and forth oxygenated blood and deoxygenated blood. The body requires air and blood to function, and with the circulatory and respiratory systems working together, this allows the body to operate.
- The Coronavirus can effect both the circulatory system as well as the respiratory system. It can cause blood clots, which can prevent the heart from doing its job. It also makes it hard to breathe as it clogs and inflames the lungs. All of these symptoms can be detrimental to the body.
