After Blanche takes a cab called A Streetcar Named Desire, she arrives in New Orleans to visit her sister, Stella.
CONFLICT

For the first time Blanche meets her sister's husband, Stanley. Nonetheless, tension between the two of them begins to rise as Stanley goes through Blanches belongings and personal life. Afterwards, Stanley begins to accuse Blanche of unfairly taking their families estate without sharing it with Stella.
RISING ACTION
Stanley and his friends had a long poker night, where they all drank. This resulted in Stanley getting extremely drunk, starting to be physically aggressive towards Stella.

CLIMAX
Blanche's breakup with Mitch takes a toll on her mental state, thus making her drink too much alcohol. Later, when Stanley comes home from the hospital after Stella has given birth to their baby, he sees Blanche. Stanley confronts Blanche about her unfortunate past and proceeds to show aggression towards Blanche, and rapes her out of anger.

FALLING ACTION
Blanches world begins to fall apart, with her mental health drastically declining. She starts to become more delusional, believing that a man named "Shep Huntleigh" will come to save Blanche from her misery.
RESOLUTION
Stella has called the mental institution on Blanche, since she was convinced that Blanche has gone mad. Blanche is now forced to leave and go to the mental asylum.
