- Oh what a journey! Escaping the community with Gabriel was so tough . . . I wonder where the forest will lead me next . . .
- Turns out running away from the Chief and his sentries was more difficult that I thought! Now, I must rest with Tasé for the long journey ahead of us.
- Oh, do you mean the sand? Yeah, we are in the Dunes so it's everywhere. Hmmm . . . It seems like you are not from around here? Did you come from Isiuwa?
- Wait, who are you? Were you sent by the Chief to come catch us again?
- No, my names is Jonas. I was crossing the forest and it led me here . . . I have never seen a place like this . . . Also, what is this golden granular substance covering the ground?
- No, I'm not from around here. I lived in a small, idyllic community until I realized the horrible things the Elders were doing, especially with Sameness. So, I escaped . . .
- Oh wow . . . it must be tyranny over there! In Isiuwa, the Chief of the community has always told us to not go out to the Dunes because of the wrath of the whistling gods. Essentially, we are controlled and trapped in the boundaries of my community. The Chief lied to me about the real world and my mother, so I escaped to find out for myself.
- Oh, I guess we share the same similarities! My mom escaped my community called Isiuwa, but she never came back. So I left to find her and brought my friend, Tasé, along with me.
- I'm sorry to hear that your mother never came back. In my community, each person was assigned a designated job for the rest of our lives. So, there was no freedom to choose our future. I became increasingly frustrated with my community because everyone else was satisfied with living bland, boring and emotionless lives. The worst part of it was that the Elders removed our ability to see color, which is one of the most beautiful aspects of life.
- Yes, it was definitely tyranny from where I came from. I plan to explore the outside world and see how it contrasts with my old community. Oh, I have to go . . . I cannot leave Gabriel behind. I hope to see you again!
