  • Lady Macbeth is waiting for Macbeth to finish the deed and stating how if the king did not resemble her father then she would have done it instead of Macbeth. Macbeth heard something and was terriefies because of the noise.
  • Lady Macbethspeaks with Macbeth in the chamber when Macbeth did the deed. She greets her husband and he tells her that he has done the task, then Lady Macbeth asks about a noise she heard and thought came from Macbeth but it did not. Both Lady Macbeth and Macbeth start panicking since it came from someone other then them.
  • In Act 2 scene 2 the first signs of gult;t start showing up in Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The memories of the deed and guilt because of their ambition are starting to get to them. Macbeth is saying he can not even say amen to God blessing them to foreshadow that they are not going to be blessed after what they did and Lady Macbeth is fearing that so she is saying to think too much about it or it will haunt them.
