- Tommy, Sally's son, had shared his theory for why the light had gone out and it was that there were creatures among themselves that weren't humans trying to hurt them or make sure that couldn't leave. The crowd of people was so paranoid so they believed him and they started turning against each other. Accusing each other of being aliens.
- Climax
- As everyone was fighting Les .Goodman's car stated on its own which had made everyone question him. Les wasn't the only one accused. Steve started to get accused and one of the main reasons was because he was working on a radio in the basement which was supposedly a way he could communicate with the Aliens. Charlie was the one to keep accusing and finding reasons for other people to be guilty.
- Falling Action
- On Maple street that lights had gone out and the electronics stopped working and the citizens on this street were questioning what happened.The neighbors had gathered around to figure out what happened and the first thought was that there was a meteor.. The people on this street that impacted the events were Don, Steve, Charlie, Les, Mrs. Goodman, Pete Van Horn, Mr, Brand, and of course Tommy.
- Resolution
- A dark figure had appeared down the street that was unrecognizable. The paranoia and pressure took over Charlie and he grabbed the shot gun and shot the figure. They then realized it was Pete Van Horn, the man that went to see if the power was on in other areas. Everyone then turned on Charlie.
- They had accused Charlie of being the Alien. Steve tried to tell the mob there was a reasonable explanation for it but then got accused of working with Charlie. Charlie claimed it was Tommy. He was the one who gave them all the idea that there was an Alien among them.
- Two figures had appeared and explained the reason of this mess. They had messed with their day to day pattern and made them go crazy, slowly destroying themselves just because the lights went out. A little fear goes a long way. The figures will move on to any other basic American street where neighbors will turn on each other because of their paranoia.
