Hey Lungs, do you know why you get bigger every time you breathe?
I actually never thought about it, why does it get bigger Robert? Is it a sickness?!
No, you don't have to worry about it, it is nothing serious.#160;
Oh, well that's a relief! So let me know why do they get big?
It is actually an example of my own investigation about the properties of gases. I call it Boyle's Law!
That sounds really fancy! What is it about?
During respiration, your lungs make use of Boyle’s law. While inhaling, the lungs are filled with air; therefore, they expand. The volume increases, hence the pressure level goes down.#160; And that's it! This is how my law is used in breathing.#160;
I cannot believe and actual experiment is happening inside of me, It is super exciting and kind of creepy.
This is just one of many of real life examples of Boyle's Law. We should hang out another time to talk more about it.
I would really enjoy that, you are an incredibly brilliant person Robert. I learned more about my own lungs thanks to you!
