The social upheaval on the Reservation has nothing to do with art; rather, it is a result of the injustices that are inherent in all societies with people who aren't designed and medicated into submission
- You don't seem to get it John.. Even if we have scientific research and visual entertainment, The World State society would collapse if its people were exposed to experiences outside of their own, made aware of their inherent humanity, and motivated to ponder the purpose of their life.
- Art is risky because it is an experience that cannot be controlled. Therefore, despite the fact that art can cause social unrest, it also offers the relief that individuals need in order to survive and find purpose in a chaotic environment.
- We need to find a middle ground?!!
- I believe that art is worth it! It shows us things we have never seen before. People need this in their life.
