- Problem
- I have this desk that I won't need anymore after college, but I'm not really sure what to do with it.
- Jessica (left) is roommates with Kate (right) and they are moving out of their college apartment since they just graduated. They are sitting in the kitchen chatting about if they are ready to move yet.
- Explain
- I heard of this nonprofit called The Mercy House that's downtown. Your desk is still in really good condition, I'm sure they would take it!
- Jessica offers to help Kate finish packing up to move out, and Kate says yes because she knows that she has a dilemma about some of her items.
- Agree
- Oh that's a great idea! I'll call to schedule a time for them to come pick it up.
- Kate tells Jessica that she has a desk that she won't need anymore and doesn't want to bring with her to her new apartment.
- Pickup
- Thank you for your donation! This desk will do more than just be resold to the public, the proceeds from selling it will help house local homeless families, so thank you for giving back to this community!
- Jessica tells Kate about the Mercy House and emphasizes that her desk is of good enough quality to be donated there.
- Kate likes Jessica's idea and decides to schedule a time for Mercy House to come pick up her donation.
- Mercy House employee thanking Kate for her donation and explaining that Mercy House is more than just a thrift shop.
