- Romeo and Juliet meet. (Act 1)

- Sampson and Gregory both loyal to the Capulets start a quarrel in the streets against two servants of the Montague family. Which causes Tybalt Capulet and Benvolio Montague to join the brawl. The commotion causes Prince Escalus to notice and take action.
- Romeo and Juliet balcony. (Act 2)
- Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrowBy one that I'll procure to come to thee, Where and what time thou wilt perform the rite, And all my fortunes at thy foot I'll lay And follow thee my lord throughout the world.
- A Capulet servant ask Romeo if he could read the names on a list for his master. Romeo notices that Rosaline is on the list (the name of the person he loves that does not feel the same). The servant invites them and Benvolio thinks Romeo should go to look at other women to see if he likes someone else more.
- Romeo and Juliet get married. (Act 2)
- Romeo and Juliet meet at the Capulet party. They talk and then share a kiss. After they realize they are part of opposing familys.
- Mercutio and Tybalt die. (Act 3)
- Immediately we do exile him hence. I have an interest in your hate's proceeding: My blood for your rude brawls doth lie a-bleeding.
- Romeo stalks Juliet under her balcony as she confesses her love for Romeo, Romeo jumps out from hiding and tells Juliet he loves her as well. They then plan to get married the next day.
- Sleep dwell upon thine eyes, peace in thy breast!Would I were sleep and peace, so sweet to rest!Hence will I to my ghostly Friar's close cell,His help to crave, and my dear hap to tell. [exits]
- Juliet sends the nurse to Romeo to arrange a marriage. Then Juliet secretly goes to meet with the Friar and Romeo to get married.
- Tybalt kills Mercutio after Romeo would not fight Tybalt. Romeo out of anger is able to kill the skilled swordsman Tybalt. Prince Escalus then Banishes Romeo from Verona, because Tybalt would have been executed anyways.
