I still want to know where you got that stool from but- I guess not? A lot of people are forced to use medication or therapy for things like that, why?
Because it isn't your choice. It's decided for you. Your genes or factors from your life have made you afraid of spiders or others, you have not had any autonomy in the decision. Apparently, this is called Scientific Determinism, and I agree with it!
For one, do you have full control over things like your arachnophobia? Or social anxiety?
Ah- But, by deciding to get therapy or medications for your issue, have you not made a decision on an inner desire or intention?
Because while you did not have the choice to become an arachnophobe, you did make the choice to try and move past it. You had a desire to grow above it.
