Storyboard Szöveg

  • Exposition/Conflict
  • I will! But how am I to escape her eyes? Will she not freeze me too into stone?
  • Take this polished shield. Look into this instead of looking at Medusa.
  • Take this sword to slice through Medusa's scales and these sandals to guide you on your way.
  • The Gorgon, that you may slay her, my enemy, the mother of monstrous beasts.
  • Rising Action
  • 1. "Cruel and proud old women, I have your eye; and I will throw it into the sea, unless you tell me the path to the Gorgon, and swear to me that you tell me right."
  • 2.You must go, foolish boy, to the southward, into the ugly glare of the sun, till you come to Atlas the Giant, who holds the heaven and the earth apart. And you must ask his daughters, the Hesperides, who are young and foolish like yourself. And now give us back our eye, for we have forgotten all the rest.
  • Rising Action
  • 1. I can see the Gorgons lying on an island far away, but this youth can never come near them unless he has the helm of darkness, which whosoever wears cannot be seen.
  • 3. My nieces shall fetch if for you, if you promise to show me the hand of medusa so that I may be turned to stone.
  • 2. Where is that hat, that I may find it?
  • The conflict of this story is that Athene wants Perseus to kill Medusa but Medusa could turn Perseus to stone with a glance. Athene gives Perseus a shield to look into to see Medusa instead of looking at her directly. He also get a gift of flying shoes from Hermes to help him travel.Figurative Language - Simile = Once she was a maiden as beautiful as morn. The describes how Medusa was before she was turned into a Gorgon.
  • Climax
  • "When you come near her look not at her yourself, but at her image in the brass."
  • In this scene it shows Perseus threatening to thrown the eye in the sea unless they tell him where to find the gorgons. This is rising action because this is the part where Perseus actually starts the difficult and exciting part of his quest, not just flying over oceans.Figurative Language - Simile = And you must ask his daughters, the Hesperides, who are young and foolish like yourself.
  • Falling Action
  • Yaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!
  • Bear me well now, brave sandals, for the hounds of Death are at my heels!
  • In this scene Altas the Giant is telling Perseus that he need the helm of darkness to complete his quest. Perseus promises to show him the head and Altas nieces go to get the helm. I added the Hesperides to show that they were going to get the helm.
  • Resolution
  • In this scene Perseus was thinking about Athene's advice not to look at Medusa directly. He uses the shield that Athene gave him to kill Medusa. He only needed to strike once to kill Medusa. Although he killed Medusa at that moment he was only acting out of self-defense because the snakes on Medusa's head woke up.
  • They can't see me.
  • Percy slays Medusa and takes the head. He uses his flying shoes to make a quick getaway from the sister gorgons of Medusa. He knows he can't kill them because they are immortal. Figurative Language - Simile = Like eagles after a hare. :( :(This shows how the hounds of death chased Perseus.
  • In the end Perseus, with the help of many people and tools was able to defeat Medusa without being turned to stone. Athene, Hermes, Atlas, and the Hesperide helped Perseus in his quest. Percy used the flying sandals, Herpe (sword), the shield, and the Helm of Darkness in his Quest.
