- In the book Night there is an example of man vs self. "... Nakedness. We trembled in the cold." (Wiesel 35) This is man vs self because elies mind is complaining about the cold.

- In the book Night there is an example of man vs nature. "an icy wind was blowing violently. But we marched without faltering."(Wiesel 85) This is man vs nature because the winds are making him cold.

- In the book Night there is an example of man vs god "Never shall I forget those things. even were I condemned to live as long as God himself." (Wiesel 34) This is man vs god because elie is second guessing God and not respect God.
- In the book Night there is an example of man vs society. "The jews were ordered to get off onto waiting trucks." (Wiesel) This is man vs society because the society is ordering the jews to do things.
