- Lord Apollo we pray to you Athena, and Artemes for help, we are afraid. Many people have been hit with a plague that has entered our city, and no one can fight it off. Corpses lay out on the street, and elders grieve at the alters. Zeus, Artemis, Apollo, and Dionysus give no mursy to the killer of our former king.
- I hear you, so follow me and I will help you. I know nothing of the King, so I cannot find him alone. If anyone knows anything about the killer tell me now. Whoevery does will not be killed but forced to leave the land with a rich reward. I forbid anyone to talk to or protect the killer because he is the reason for our suffering. I curse the killer to have a horrible life! And if the killer is my family, I will be curse as well.
- Even if the oracle didn't tell us to kill the murderer, we should still avenge your former king. And now I am king. I have married his wife, and have children as he would have had if his fate was different. I will be the son he never had, as if I really was, and find the killer. Vengeance for Laius! If anyone disobeys me may the god make the unable to grow food or have children, and may they rot. But all who are greatful and loyal to me, may the gods be kind to you forever.
