-  Malala Yousafzai was happy before the taliban came. She learned her education at a girls school as her parents wanted to give her as many opportunities as a boy would. Going to school gave her a motive to speak out as she had lost it when the taliban came so she could fight back.
- Then the Taliban came. The took over control forcing all these rules onto women and putting the whole country in fear. Mala was extremely upset. The  rules were ridiculous! No music or school or TV. I also know your not even allowed to leave the house without a male. Leaving women in Pakistan with no rights.
- She tried to gather people and inspire people to stand up and  rise against the Taliban but that only made things worse as she made herself visible and a target in the Taliban's eyes. She was on a school bus when a Taliban came and shot Malala in her side.
- After being shot she spent several months in the UK healing. Her family joined her a bit later. After that she traveled to many countries to help girls go to school despite any challenge they may face.
- She decided not to live a quiet life and to share her story with the world as many had the same. She used the opportunity to spread awareness and speak out on behalf of her people as many couldn't themselves.
- Her dad inspired her to create a fund to help girls out there like her. It's called the Malala's fund. She then was awarded a nobel peace prize for her bravery and dedication.
