- There was once a very beautiful maiden. Her skin was more beautiful than freshly fallen snow, her hair very bright, her lips as red as a rose, and her eyes a wondrous green, perhaps greener than the Aegean sea.
- Look at my eyes, my, I am the loveliest girl around!
- She constantly shared her thoughts about her beauty.
- When can she stop talking!?
- One day, she and her friends went to the Parthenon. The Parthenon is a temple, on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the goddess Athena.
- You are much too fat! Try to be as skinny and flawless as me.
- The young maiden came across a statue of the goddess Athena. She thought that though the statue was pretty, it would be even better if it was of her because she was much lovlier and prettier than Athena.
- "The sculptor did a very nice job accentuating her best features, but imagine if that statue were me! It would be the most beautiful statue ever."
- And so, Athena sent Medusa to live at the end of the Earth with the gorgon sisters so no innocent humans could look into her eyes and be turned into stone.
- Vain and foolish Medusa, there is more to life than beauty. For your gloating I shall turn you into a monster, and not a eye should be lain on you!
- Today, Medusa lives on a secluded island creating rock stars everyday.
