- An emergency broadcast filled the screen, a News Anchor with a speech impediment tried to announce what happened.
- We need to overthrow the government! Follow me for your freedom
- Harrison Bergeron, the son that was taken from them, escaped from jail and claimed to be an emperor. He wanted to overthrow the government.
- Harrison and his empress were both shot and died before they even hit the ground. His own mother didn't realize she cried, and her mind was confused on the events that just happened.
- In his story Harrison Bergeron, Kurt Vonnegut makes the point that we as a society should not function and be the exact same as everyone else. Being in a society completely overtaken to the point where even emotions aren't understood will only lead to death and rebellion. He establishes this by over-exaggerating things like how George kept making comments like They are the same as everyone else and creating the terrifying narrative of not even allowing beautiful people to show their faces in order to keep 'peace'. This shows that we were designed and meant to have emotion, as well as being different than others. Vonnegut uses this story to ridicule the dystopian fantasy of equality and how damaging it truly would be.
