- Soldiers Quarters
- In the winter some of the men didn't have clothes which caused them to suffer. Lots of diseases went through the camp which killed a lot of the men. Von Steuben helped the camp through the rest of the winter by organizing the camp.
- Problems Faced by the Soldiers #1
- George Washington's headquarters was a lot bigger than the soldier's quarters. He had an old brick house to stay in. He used it while they were in Valley Forge to lead the troops.
- Problems Faced by the Soldiers #2
- the soldiers lived in much worse houses than george Washington. while he had a house they had small huts. they were made of wood and even had windows.
- Training with Baron Fredrick von Steuben
- one problem the soldiers had was illness. they had influenza, typhus, typhoid, and dysentery during the winter. 2/3 of the people who died, died from illness.
- the second problem the soldiers had was they didnt have a lot of supplies. The people had to eat a mixture of flour and water because there wasnt a lot of food. and some people didnt even have clothes.
- von seuben helped them organize and sanitize the camp. He moved the kitchen and the latrines so everything was in the right spot. he even mad eit so the fight against the british was even.
