The capital city of Wyoming is Cheyenne. Other large cities include Casper, Laramie, Gillette, and Rock Springs.

Wyoming's nickname "Equality State", and its motto, "Equal Rights", both showcase the state's commitment to equality and women's rights. In 1869, Wyoming became the first US territory to grant women the right to vote, which was a groundbreaking and progressive step at this time.

Yellowstone National Park, which is predominantly located in Wyoming, was not only the first national park in the US, but it is the oldest national park in the world. Established in 1872, Yellowstone features hot springs, geysers, tons of wildlife, and so much more.

Wyoming's state tree is the Plains Cottonwood. Its state flower is the Indian Paintbrush, and its state bird is the Western Meadowlark.

Utah was the 44th state admitted into statehood on July 10, 1890.

Famous artist, Jackson Pollack, was born in Cody, Wyoming on January 28, 1912. He is best known for his unique style of "drip painting", where he would lay a canvas on the ground and drip or pour paint onto it from above.
