  • The soap bubbles are made up of soap molecules and water molecules. Water is a polar molecule, whereas a soap bubble has a polar and non-polar end. The polar ends of both the molecules get attracted to each other, which helps in the establishment of an intermolecular force. This intermolecular interaction is accountable to hold the bubbles together.
  • Soap solution is made by solubilizing soap in water. Water (H2O) is polar whereas soap consist of polar as well as non-polar end. The polar end corresponding to the soap gets attracted towards water (H2O). Here, the attraction existing between water and any soap is Van der Waals.As water is polar, hydrogen bonds are also present between the heteroatom present in the soap and the hydrogen in water.Ion-dipole interactions are present within the polar water and carboxylic end in soap.Therefore, the intermolecular forces that is found in soaps are Vander Waals attraction, hydrogen bonds along with ion-dipole interactions.
