Laran was the strongest of all the gods, and Diomed got jealous, so he decided to pull a prank on him. Now, Laran had a priceless golden chalice that Diomed coveted. so he bet Laran that he could not steal Kyrria's sword. Confident, Laran took the wager and ventured down to the underworld, however, Diomed warned Kyrria, and Kyrria stopped him.

She confronted Diomed, who told her he would give it back in exchange for her sword. So Kyrria gave him the sword, point first, and Diomed never tried to trick her again.
