Mukluks are a soft boot traditionally made of caribou or seal skin. They are worn by peoples such as the Inuit, Iñupiat, and Yupik. Mukluks may be worn over an inner boot liner and under a protective overshoe.
Mushers are drivers of a dog sled. Dog sleds are a traditional means of transportation but are also used for sport. The annual Iditarod is a famous dog sled race.
The Inuit and Aleut built kayaks from a driftwood or whalebone framework and stretched waterproof sea lion skins across it. These boats are for single passengers. They are very light and fast.
