- There was a famine in the land...
- So this family of 4 moved to Moab.
- We'll be better off here.
- Naomi tells the girls to go back to their homes and to find new husbands...
- Tragically, Elimelech died shortly after their move.
- *Weeps for the loss of her husband*
- The 2 sons, Mahlon and Kilion, eventually get married to 2 Moabite women, Ruth and Orpah.
- So Orpah makes the trip home, while Ruth stays behind.
- Mahlon and Kilion also die..
- 10 years later...
- Naomi then returns to Judah with Ruth close behind.
- ...So Naomi and her 2 daughters-in-law, Ruth and Orpah, start back to Judah.
- Soon, Naomi changes her name and begins her new life.
- How much farther?
- We're almost there, just keep walking.
- I'm not leaving you..
- Ruth begins to work in the fields to earn money and food.
- I don't have anything left for you two.
- Are you sure?
- I'll miss you two

- Then, Ruth finds favor with Boaz, who owns the field she works.
- Whose young women is that?
- She is the moabitess that came back with Naomi.
- Ruth waits for Boaz to finish eating and drinking and then he goes to sleep...

- Then she sneaks in and lays at his feet. He is surprised and lets her stay the rest of the night. Before she leaves he gives her barely to take back to Naomi.
- Boaz approaches the elders about the selling of Mahlon's (Ruth's previous husband) land.
- I guess i'll just have to marry Ruth.. if thats the only way to get the land.
- We don't want to take responsibility of Ruth, why don't you buy it?
- So Boaz takes Ruth as his wife and she gives birth to a son whom they name Obed.
