  • Chapter 1
  • Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
  • That is my message to you, comrades: Rebellion !
  • All the animals gathered in the barn for a meeting once Mr Jones, the owner of the farm, went to sleep. Old Major then began his speech.
  • Chapter 1
  • Old Major taught them the song, and soon, they all started to sing it with excitment until Mr Jones woke up. The song became the symbol of the Rebellion.
  • Last night, in a dream, a song came back to me. It is called "Beasts of England"
  • Beasts of England... Beasts of England!!..
  • Chapter 2
  • As, the animal were still unfed in the evening, one of the cows broke in the door. The men of Mr Jones came with whips in their hands, and this was more than the hungry animals could bear: they flung themsleves upon the men.
  • Chapter 2
  • After expelling Mr Jones and his men, the pigs make Animalism seven commandments. The animals change the name of the farm from 'Manor Farm' to 'Animal Farm'.

  • The animals in the farm had to work daily in the fields to be able to survive. They had to do a lot of things on their own and work hard to achieve it.

  • I will get MY farm back!
  • I'm Mr Pilkington and I'm going to help Mr Jones!
  • Mr Pilkington and Mr Frederick, who own the adjacent farms, join the revenge of Mr Jones because they are afraid that the Rebellion will spread everywhere.

  • Chapter 4
  • Mr Jones and his allies come to get back Animal Farm, but the animals win the battle thanks to Snowball's strategy. Boxer almost killed a man during the battle.
  • Chapter 5
  • Snowball is attacked by nine dogs, educated by Napoleon, who enter the barn, where the animals debate. Snowball is chased of Animal Farm and never seen again. Napoleon takes control of the farm and decides to abolish Sunday Meetings.
  • Chapter 6
  • The pigs moved into the farmhouse and took up their residence there. Mr. Whymper, a solicitor living in Willingdon, agreed to act as intermediary between Animal Farm and the outside world, and visit the farm every Monday morning to receive his instructions.
  • Chapter 6
  • November brought in raging winds that knocked down the windmill. Napoleon made the animals believe that Snowball was the one behind it.
  • Chapter 7
  • One day, Napoleon gathered the animals and said that Snowball was on the same side with Jones. Then, he ordered to the dogs to murder the rebellious animals. Finally, he proclaimed that 'Beasts of England' was now outlawed.
  • Chapter 8
  • Frederick and his men came and attacked the animals and destryed the windmill with explosions.
  • Chapter 9
  • Late one evening in the summer, a sudden rumour ran round the farm that something had happened to Boxer. He had gone out alone to drag a load of stone down to the windmill.
  • Boxer has fallen! He is lying on his side and can't get up!
  • Boxer! How are you?
  • It is my lung.
  • Chapter 9
  • Napolean said that he was going to send Boxer to be treated in the hospital at Willingdon. However, Benjamin remarked that he was taken to the knacker. Napoleon made them believe that the van had previously been the property of the knacker, and had been bought by the veterinary surgeon, who had not yet painted the old name out.
  • Boxer! Boxer! Boxer!

  • Fools! Do you not see what is written on the side of that van?
