  • Indian Removal (1830)
  • When the Louisiana Purchase took place in 1803, the United states doubled in size, including the United States to expand their borders. They expanded their borders all the way to the Rocky Mountains. Napoleon made an even larger offer to not just sell the port to the United states, but the whole Louisiana territory. The territory cost up to $15 million.
  • Alamo
  • After President Jefferson had bought the land, costing $15 million, equaling America to double the size of itself, Lewis was selected to guide an expedition to inspect the new and freshly sold land. Captain William Clark had been recommended to be the expedition’s co-leader by Captain Lewis, the leader of the expedition.
  • The Oregon Trail
  • The voyage these tribes were enforced to create is called the Trail Of Tears. The trail earned its name from the suffering the Native Americans had to go through while marching to reservations. The agreement authorized the Lakota tribe to stay in the Black Hills. However, when the government found out there was gold in the area, they broke the treaty. They commanded the tribe to leave. When the Lakota refused, the U.S soldiery arrived to force them out. The American soldiers were enormously outnumbered. Every single one of them, including Custer, was killed.
  • Gold Rush

  • The famous trail, referred to The Oregon trail, was a path that led across the United States all the way to east to west. The untamed west offered a perfect life and new opportunities, the American Dream.
