- This is the old woman and the old man. They live in a house near the river.
- The old woman and old man were hungry. The old woman made a gingerbread man.
- Stop! Stop!
- She used chocolate chips for eyes, licorice for a mouth, and red M&Ms for buttons.
- When he was done cooking, the Gingerbread man jumped out of the oven and out the window.
- The Gingerbread man ran outside. He sang, "Run, run as fast as you can. You can't catch me!"
- The Gingerbread man ran. He saw a pig. He sang, "You can't catch me."
- The Gingerbread man ran and ran. A goose tried to stop him. He sang, "You can't catch me!"
- The Gingerbread man came to a river. He would crumble if he got wet. He needed help. A wolf came.
- The wolf pretended to help the Gingerbread man.
- When the Gingerbread man stepped off the wolf's back, the wolf ate him.
- Don't forget that the Gingerbread man was a cookie. The wolf liked cookies just like the old woman and old man.
