  • Hello there, I am your guide to our home the Indus Valley Civilization! Thank you for visiting our home. The Indus Valley existed from 2500BCE-1700BCE in what is the modern countries of Pakistan and Northern India! The river you see here is the Indus River, and it begins in the Himalayan mountains and ends at the Arabian Sea.
  • Amazing!
  • These are our beautiful homes! Our homes are built around courtyards, and have stairs that go to the roof with plenty of room to relax.
  • They are very close to where we work, because it's very hot. We work outside so its nice to cool off after a long day.
  • This is our amazing sewer system! Our homes have wells for water and our bathrooms have pipes that carry waste into the main drains. Some of the houses even have toilets! We are the first in the world to have them!
  • Isn’t our Great Bath amazing? It has a long pool built with waterproof bricks. We use these baths for our special rituals. We believe that the water will purify us and renew the well being of all the people.
  • Interesting
  • Cool!
  • Look at our cool seals! We make them out of stone and carve in animals and symbols Then we put them in the oven to make them really strong. We use them to close our important documents and mark our goods and packages when we trade with other places.
  • Trade is so important to us in the Indus Valley! We trade with Persia, Mesopotamia, China and others. We trade things like terracotta pots, beads, gold, silver, gems, metal, flint, seashells and pearls. This is so important to our civilization, because it helps us make money and bring in goods we need to make our area grow!
  • Your welcome, have a good rest of the day!
  • This was very interesting and thank you so much!
