- In this scene Lennie was given a chance to see the puppy that he was promised to have. For weeks on in and out of the barn he began growing a bond with this puppy. This puppy was everything to him. Lennie soon one day walked in the barn to hug the puppy when he hugged the puppy he ended up hugging it to hard and ended up killing it on accident which he ran out of the barn crying because it was dead and he didn't know how to tell George.
- Lennie began working outside and seemed to see Crook the stable buck. Lennie soon walked up to him which Crook led him to his room and they began getting to know each other. They talked about the dream ranch and how he shouldn't rely on George all the time. But Lennie don't know any better because that's how he was raised was with someone always there for him.
- As Lennie gets beat up by Curley the son of the boss of the ranch. Which Lennie was defenseless at this moment because he was to nice to hit someone. But George told Lennie to defend himself so he did. Which led to him breaking Curley's hand.
- In this scene Lennie was caught playing by the hay in the barn and Curley's wife decided to come and talk to him. So he asked if he could touch her hair cause it looked soft so he proceeded to touch it after she said he could. This led to him not stopping so she got mad and started yelling. Soon after Lennie proceeded to cover her mouth and he accidentally broke her neck and she died.
- Soon after when all the men found out that Curley's wife was dead Lennie had ran into the woods to hide. Which a thought in his mind occurred to him. He remembered that George said to meet at the brush by the river so he went there. George and the men went on the search for Lennie and a thought occurred to George that he remembers telling him to meet by the river.
- As soon as George finds Lennie he sneaks up on him and tells Lennie he's gonna get out of whats happening and that everything is gonna be okay. Moments after all the dudes show up. George knew what was about to happen. And so George peacefully shot him in the back of the head...Lennie died.
