- a bill needs a sponsor once it is written the sponsors are representatives that vote on the bill in the capitial
- Step 5:The Bill Is Referred to the Senate
- when the bill reaches the committe it is looked at and reveiwed
- Step 6:The Bill Is Sent to the President
- i have 10 days to make this bill a law or veto it
- There are 2 methods for voting on a bill first isViva Voce (voice vote) saying aye or nay to the bill basic yes or no and the second is Division: where the speaker askes people who agree to stand and those who oppose sit down

- when the bill is referred to the senate it goes through a lot of the same steps as before where they vote yea or nay of the bill to be passed on to the presisdent
