- Due to the Seljuk Turks coming within 100 miles of Constantinople, the emperor of the time, Alexius I pleaded to the pope for help. In response the pope called for a Crusade.
- Muslims send Crusaders packing!
- The Crusaders conquered Antioch and following that Jerusalem.
- 3rd Crusade semi Successful

- After killing most of the people who fought against them the majority or Crusaders returned home though some stayed and created Crusader kingdoms.
- Hundreds of Children disappear!
- During the second Crusade a German army was defeated badly in Anatolia, a French army marched on Damascus and there was beat back by the Muslims and the army returned home.
- Salah al-Din was a powerful sultan who took back Palestine and Jerusalem for the Muslims. Richard I led the Crusade and took back Acre.
- Muslims
- Thousands of young peasants from France and Germany marched in a Children's Crusade. Some made it to Jerusalem, others sold into slavery.
- ...And for 5 gold pieces a strong 12 year old child to help on the ships!
