- Newton's Third Law of Motion states that- "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."
- There are many applications of Newton's third law of motion in our day-to-day life.

- The boat is able to move forwards across the water because the man pushes the water backwards with the oar.
- An aeroplane is able to move forward because the force of the engines moves backward.

- The book lies on the table because of the equal and opposite reaction of the table (in the upward direction) acting on the weight of the book (which is acting in the downward direction).

- The ball bounces back because the ball hits the floor with a force and in the same way the floor exerts equal force on the ball which makes it bounce.
