- Act 4: Falling Action
- What if this mixture do not work at all? What if it be a poison? How if, when I am laid into the tomb, I wake before the time that Romeo come to redeem me?
- Act 5: Denouement
- I will raise her statue in pure gold, that whiles Verona by that name is known, there shall no figure at such rate be set as that of true and faithful Juliet.
- Capulet! Montague! See what a scourge is laid upon your hate!
- As rich shall Romeo's by his lady's lie, poor sacrifices of our enmity.
- Act 3: Climax
- Friar Lawrence has a plan to make Juliet drink a sleeping potion so she can avoid the marriage with Count Paris and run away with Romeo. Juliet contemplates whether or not she should drink it, but decides to drink it anyway.
- The plan fails, and Romeo and Juliet kill themselves. Friar Lawrence explains the situation to the Capulets and Montagues, and Prince Escalus scolds the families for their pointless fighting. The two families grieve and decide to end their feud.
- Mercutio is killed by Tybalt. Romeo avenges Mercutio and kills Tybalt, and is banished from Verona.
