- The exposition of my story is in Ada's flat in the city of London during World War 2. The main character in this story is 10 year old Ada Smith, 6 year old Jamie, and Ada's mom.
- External Conflict
- The Protagonist in this story is Ada Smith. She is a 10 year old girl living in the city of London. Ada has a clubfoot that she has had since she was a baby. Ada has a younger 6 year old brother, Jamie. Ada also has a mom that is embarrassed of Ada and her clubfoot.
- Rising Action
- The Antagonist in this story is Ada's mom. She is mean to Ada, and didn't get the treatment for Ada's clubfoot when she was a baby. Her mom works at the bar just below their flat. Ada's mom is mean to her because she has a clubfoot, and she is embarrassed to have other people see her.
- Climax
- World War 2 is an external conflict because no one can stop it. Ada doesn't like the war, and she had to run away from London because of it.
- Ada and Jamie live with Susan Smith, and they are treated very well. Susan got them all gifts for Christmas, and everyone is having a great time. Susan got Ada some crutches, and now Ada can walk everywhere. Ada also learns how to ride Susan's horse, Butter.
- Ada and Jamie's mom takes them away from Susan, and she throws out Ada's new crutches. The mom cannot afford to pay to keep them at Susan's house because she lost her job. Bombs go off in London, and Jamie and Ada survive, but their mom doesn't.
