- When Annmarie and Ellen we racing Annemarie, Ellen and Kirsti run into German soldiers. The Germans taken over Denmark.
- Climax
- Where is Ellen and her family?
- The German soldiers are trying to "relocate" the Danish Jews. The Jews know that the soldiers are trying to arrest the Jews tonight. The soldiers got a list of all the Jews names and addresses from, the synagogal.
- Falling Action
- Ellen is a Jew and her parent's let her stay with Annemarie's family. The German soldiers go into Annemarie's apartment and grabs Ellen's hair. The German soldiers think that Ellen is from a different because she has different hair than the other girls.
- Resolution
- Singing national anthem of Denmark*
- Annemarie gives Uncle Henrik a handkerchief and she looks around and can't find Ellen and her family.The handkerchief can stop the dogs smell for a little bit. Since the dogs won't be able to smell they can't find the Jews that are hiding in the boat.
- The Jews make it to Sweden that is free from the Germans. The Germans want to keep Sweden free for their own reasons. When Uncle Henrik came home from Sweden he told Annemarie that the war will end one day.
- Two years later Uncle Henrik said that the war would end it did. Everyone in Copenhagen was happy. Some people were crying happy tears.
