Conflict
Rising Action
Exposition : Montresor expresses how he is upset with Fortunato and seeks revenge. Montresor sees him at a carnival and relizes how it would be a perfect time for his revenge.
Climax
Both Fortunato and Montresor are wine tasters, but Montresor believes that Fortunado has done him wrong and is out to seek revenge.
Falling Action
Montresor is able to lure Fortuanto to his home by telling him that he as a very rare wine, Amontillado. But Fortuando is intoxicated and can't see the true intentions of Montersor.
Resolution
When the two are down in the catacombs and Fortunato becomes too intoxicated to function. Montresor chains him to the walls of the catacomb.
Montresor finally stops hearing the rattling of the chains. Montresor throws the torch into the catacombs before he finishes sealing the wall so no one finds Fortunto.
The resolution is when Montresor finishes laying the bricks down and tells Fortunado to "rest in peace," before walking aways.The story really suprised me beacuse how brutal it ended up being, I was not expecting Montresor to bury Fortunato alive.
