- the girls are dancing around a fire (doing witchcraft) and Abagail ends up drinking blood to try and get John to leave his wife. they eventually get spotted by Abagails uncle
- Scene 1
- Scene 2
- Betty is still awake and everyone believes that she's acting. eventually Abagail jumps on her and starts making her trying to get her to wake up. after all that is done she mysteriously wakes up.
- Scene 3
- Abagail was the one who ended up accusing Elizabeth of witchcraft because she wanted John all to herself and she assumed that If Elizabeth got murderd she would be able to have John to herself.
- The play starts in the woods. A group of girls are found dancing in the woods and are accused of associating with the devil. They say a slave named Tituba made them do it. Tituba pleads innocent and one of the girls named Abigail starts accusing other women.
- One of the girls that were dancing in the circle around the fire named Betty ends up falling into a coma. A man named John Proctor goes to Abigail, the lead instigator of the accusations, to beg her to stop. He recently had an affair with Abigail, and she still wants to be romanticly involved with him. So, she says no to make him jealous.
- John goes home to his wife Elizabeth, who he loves very much although Elizabeth already assumed that it was something going on with John and abagail. Thier servant Mary comes home and tells them Elizabeth was accused of witchcraft in court. Mary said that she defended Elizabeth and that she was not going to jail. She gave the Proctors a poppet she had sewed during the trial. ( this was ended up being used against her in court.
