- Jeffreys perfectly fine, doctors make mistakes all the time, i know hes just relaxing in Philly at this point.
- ANGER
- BARGAINING 
- if i dont eat those chips, Jeffrey will never get better!

- Steven begins to think of things that are going on with Jeffrey such as, "the doctors probably made a mistake, i bet Jeffys relaxing and enjoying his time in Philly while im stuck at home." this shows Steven refusing to believe Jeffy has cancer.
- DEPRESSION
- Steven grows very angry at his dad, who never talks to him. hes tired of microwave dinners and little to no conversation between the two and is angry that mom and Jeffy are still gone without any call.
- ACCEPTANCE
- Steven begins bargaining almost everything. thinks things like, "if i dont say this, if i dont eat this, if i dont buy this, Jeffrey will never get better." and at one point even says, "dont take Jeffy, take me!"

- Steven becomes depressed when he wants to spend time with Jeffy but all he does is sleep. he cant help but remember the times when Jeffrey would wake Steven up to spend time together and he would get mad; now the roles are basically reversed.
- Steven accepts the fact that Jeffrey is sick, tired, and doesnt always wanna play so he makes up a little game to keep him happy and not make situations awkward and still have fun together.

- Steven went through all 5 stages of grief when finding out about Jeffreys cancer. grief can look differnt on everyone but they almost always go through all 5 stages.
