- Hello dad, where were you and how old were you when the Van earthquake happened?
- I was in Erzurum near Van when the earthquake struck in 2011. I was 39 and it really was a terrifying experience even though we were somewhat far away.
- How much of the earthquake did you feel?How did the people around you andyour family react to the earthquake?
- Even though we weren't affected as much as the people in Van, my family and the people around me were shocked and scared by the news.
- What was your first feeling?What did you do first when you felt the earthquake?
- My first reaction was to find shelter and safety for my loved ones just in case any following earthquake wave occurs. After everything settled down I decided to help people in need that got hit by the earthquake.
