- Everyone, I think this might be a great summer to go to Ethiopia!
- Oh...
- My family and I had not seen our extended family in Ethiopia for 4 years and it was time to plan another trip. We didn't know if the trip would really happen because of the political state of the country, so everything was just up in the air.
- *GASP*
- REALLY?!?
- I don't really weant to go all my friends are here and I want to be with them this summer
- It would be great to see my aunt get married...
- I wish we could go I really want to see my cousin graduate. ..
- RING RING
- *Selam means Hi in Amharic (the native language)
- Selam selam*...
- My dad was slowly informing our family in Ethiopia that our visit was going to be a possibility. He consistently would ask if it was safe to come or not because of the political situation of the country (corrupt government).
- At this point nothing had been determined about our trip; my dad wanted to buy us the tickets because he had saw how desperate we had gotten, but he also wasn't sure of it.
- So are we really going Ababe?

- *Ughh* I don't know what to do; I want to make them happy...

- On that day I learned a rough lesson about waiting. Stressing out and rushing things won't make a situation any better, but having patience throughout will help you endure every circumstance
