- The Peacemaker and Hiawatha decided to team up
- They both went to the people to tell them not to hurt one another and instead think it through
- We should not hurt one another
- Instead we should think it through

- We need to bring unity to Iroquois
- The peacemaker went from nation to nation to find who will accept his way of reason and power
- Eventually, those five nations gathered together in council and over there they set down the principles of the Great Law of Peace (Gayaneshakgowa)
- The peacemaker gathered everyone and then they recited the Great Peace of Law which they would have to live on by. Then they would burry there weapons under the Tree of Peace
- We accepted the peacemakers message!!
- In the early 1700s, the Tuscarora, a sixth nation, accepted the peacemaker's message and then the Iroquois Confederacy was complete.
